|Release date||November 22, 2009|
|Color||Orange and Dark Grey|
|Breed specific action||Summon|
Magma Dragons were released alongside Ice and Thunder Dragons on the 22nd of November 2009. They are rare, and when united with at least one Ice and Thunder dragon, have a breed specific action called Summon that unites their powers to make a Guardian of Nature egg. Since the Rare x Rare breeding was added, they are able to breed with other Magma Dragons, or any other Rare Dragons.
Instead of the usual crack in an egg's shell when it is getting ready to hatch, a Magma Dragon has an orange crack, to appear as if it is oozing lava. The Magma egg is often mistaken for others, such as the Ember egg, due to its similar cracking sequence and dark coloring.
Before its release, some members knew what the adult sprite looked like because one member of the Dragon Cave Forum kept it as their avatar from when the dragon was being worked on in the Dragon Requests section of the Forum.
Official Dragon Description Edit
"This egg is almost too hot to touch."
"Aww... It's a cute baby dragon. It's covered in very hot magma."
"Aww... It's a cute baby dragon. It's covered in very hot magma. Some of its magma has hardened, maybe this means something?"
"Magma dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, requiring surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass."
