Pink Dragons were created to replace the old pinks, which are now known as Bright Pink dragons. The current pink dragons are now known as "new pink dragons," "pink dragons", "BSA pinks", or "normal pink dragons" and remain an uncommon breed. With this replacement has come the option for pink dragons to be males, unlike the Bright Pinks before them. Right now, Pinks are labelled as uncommon due to the fact that the Flamingo Wyvern took the same egg description in the Main Cave.

Pink dragons are one of the dragons who have a Breed Specific Action; this being Influence. This allows them to influence an egg so that the hatchling will be more likely to be the same gender as the pink dragon used to Influence. Only eggs with 3 or more days left can be Influenced.

Pink dragons can be obtained through breeding any dragon with a Bright Pink, a Pink with a Pink, or a Pink with any other dragon.

"Pink dragons are primarily herbivores, and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan's young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true."
