Shadow Walkers, also known as Halloween 2011 Dragons (by scroll sort), were released on October 31, 2011 without a limit of their number per scroll. Shadow Walkers are able to breed with dragons other than Drakes, Pygmies, and Two-Headed Dragons. They also can breed with other Holiday Dragons, but they are only able to breed with their own kind during the Halloween breeding period. Shadow Walkers are the first dragons whose complete appearance is semi-transparent and are the first Halloween Dragons to have a Spriter's Alt. They have a unique hatching sequence where the egg gets more transparent as it hatches.

The implementation of the biomes made the 2011 Halloween egg hunt a lot easier. There were small drops every 5 minutes and one big drop every full hour. Still, it seemed that the 5 minute drops were going by incredibly fast - even if they were constantly refreshing the page, some users weren't able to see the eggs.

Some users thought these would be Ghost Dragons, due to both the looks and descriptions of the eggs and hatchlings, and the codes on TJ09's dragons. Because of this, many still believe they can go through walls and possess people and other creatures.

The sprites were reviewed after TJ09's dragons grew up, and had their graphics updated per the spriters request.

Rumor has it that if a Shadow Walker is bred to a Black Marrow during the Halloween breeding season, they will always produce the father's breed. This has yet to be proven either way.

When sorted by "Breed" they are listed as "Halloween 2011 dragon" on a users scroll.

"Shadow Walkers are a strange breed that possess the ability to slip between the planes of reality, becoming immaterial. This allows them to hide in the shadows, either hunting from the concealment of near invisibility or evading enemies. Though they become corporeal to mate or to eat, they spend most of the rest of their lives walking in the shadows. Shadow Walkers are wary creatures, though on dark Autumn evenings when the leaves fall to swirl in the chilly, rain damp air, they may be seen drifting out from the shadows."
