Sinii Krai Dragons were released on April 28, 2017, alongside Scimitar-wing Wyverns.

Official descriptions[]

Egg[]

This striped egg has a warm glow.

Hatchling[]

Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It tries to bite you whenever you come near.

Mature hatchling[]

Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It tries to bite you whenever you come near.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Adult[]

Sinii Krai Dragons are known for their love of fish and their strong personalities. They are able to travel both in the air and in the water with their unique tails. They live on the coast in groups of ten or more and are fiercely territorial. Sinii Krai Dragons are nearly impossible to tame if not obtained at an early age. Great care must be taken around them as their skin is highly poisonous after maturity.

Appearance/Basic Anatomy

  • Use their tails to help propel and maneuver them underwater.
  • Possess webbed feet for extra speed in the water.
  • Sinii Krai Dragons have poisonous, slick skin.
  • Can hold their breath underwater for long periods of time.

Hatchling Behavior

  • Sinii Krai hatchlings are nasty and fickle creatures.
  • While free from poison at this stage they make up for it with their attitude.
  • Sinii Krai hatchlings should be kept far from other hatchlings as they are prone to bullying.
  • Hoard food and can gain too much weight if not carefully observed.
  • One of the few ways to earn the tolerance of a Sinii Krai hatchling is to offer them fish.

Adult Behavior

  • Tend to their hatchlings for a short time before sending them off to fend for themselves.
  • Mate twice a year when many groups will come together on neutral territory.
  • Sinii Krai dragons are highly territorial and will fight other dragons that come near their territory.

Habitat

  • Sinii Krai prefer habitats with plenty of fish available.
  • While they can be live in a variety of climates, they only thrive near large bodies of water.
  • Sinii Krai’s preferred method of hunting is to hide and wait to surprise its food.

Diet

  • Will go crazy for seafood. Will eat other meats if they are taught from a young age—but they will always prefer fish.
  • Search out roots and gnaw on them in order to take care of their teeth.
  • Tend not to eat leafy plants but will eat fruits.

Trivia[]

  • When sorted by "Breed", this dragon sorts as "Sinii Krai". If still using the old Legacy Breed Name Sort, these dragons sort as an unknown name between Blue-Banded Dragons and "Blunas" on a user's scroll.
  • According to an initial post made by the spriter, this dragon's official breed name was "Warminae".[1] This was later revealed to be a in-joke using a play on words with the plural of Lumina, which had already been used as a nickname for their Tetras (referred to as "Bluminae").[2]
  • Full sized art was later linked by Corteo after their information post.[3]
  • Using the old Legacy Breed Name Sort, these dragons sort between Blue-Banded Dragons and Two-Finned Blunas on a user's scroll.

Sinii Krai Dragon

- Name: The name comes from Russian, Синий край, which literally translates to Blue Edge. It refers to the wings and I just thought it looked cool in English. I tend gravitate to less obvious names because I feel like it adds an extra element of realism - at least for me.

- History: Sinii Krai Dragons colors are based off of the Flame Angelfish. Even though Tetra Dragons and Sinii Krai Dragons are both based off of fish and both have socks they are in no way related. Sinii Krai Dragons were done back in 2010 (with a small update in 2017) and Tetra Dragons were done early 2017. It’s just coincidence that they are similar and got released so close together.

- Habitat: As the description mentions they live in at the coast in groups. They prefer habitats with plenty of fish available. While they can be kept in other climates they only thrive near large bodies of water. If fish migrate (like salmon for example) Sinii Krai will follow the fish.

- Diet: FISH. They will go crazy for seafood. They can be trained to eat other meats if they are taught from a young age but they will always prefer fish.

- Mating: Sinii Krai dragons mate twice a year when many groups will come together on neutral territory.

- Wild Behavior: These dragons can swim under the water for up to 10 minutes without coming up for air. They use their tail to help propel them in the water. In the wild, Sinii Krai Dragons tend to be more independent.

- Tame Behavior and keeping: It’s rare that someone will actually keep a Sinii Krai because they are frankly rather dangerous to keep. Between their temperaments and their poisonous skin they have earned a reputation that it’s better to admire from a distance. Some dragon keepers will still attempt to keep them, some even successfully. Only thrill seekers will hunt them out and try to raise them.

- Hatchling behavior: Hatchlings are little punks. Ungrateful and bity, they don’t suffer fools well. It's best to keep your distance.

- Vocal: Sinii Krai are notorious screechers. They are loud and vocal - both to each other and to others.

-
Finally: Congratulations Playdoh on getting incave! You did an awesome job helping with the female Sinii Krai.
