Arist pages become Categories

[UPDATE]:

Hy there everybody,

so what is new?

  • Normal artist pages are now category pages. (Dragon Spriter)
  • Artist categories got linked to all dragon/event articles on the "Sprite Artist" section as well as to the category section at the bottom of every page.
  • The "Personnal List" article got updated.
  • The "Artists/Spriter" tab got added to the top naviagtion bar of the Wiki

All information of the artist pages has now been completely transferred to their appropriate categories and the old artist pages were deleted. Plus the artist credit links on all dragon pages were changed, so they now link to the category of the artists.

Another spriter category was added to the artist category, "Egg Spriter". Because dragon spriters are not always the spriter of the eggs. That's why I thought it's only fair to add this category too. Plus the topic of giving credits to the egg artists, (on the view page of an egg) is currently discussed on the forums: Art Credits for Eggs - It seems fairJoin the discussion and let us know what you think about this suggestion.

The "Personnel List" article also got a little update. Instead of a long list of names you now can choose between different categories to see who's an dragon spriter on Dragon Cave or a global mod on the forums etc. .

The Artist/Spriter tab got added to the top navigation bar of the Wiki.

How do you link an artist category to an article?

Typing this:
[[:Category:TJ09|TJ09]]

Will give you this:
TJ09

Hello there,

by taking a look at the Community Messages on the "Recent Activity Page" you might have noticed, that we have a new project running. ;-)

Artist pages become Categories:

The content of every single artist article will get transferred to a category page with the same name. This procedure should make it easier to add a dragon article to the appropriate artist category. Just add the name of the artist to the category section of said dragon article and tadaaa the article appears in the artists category.

So no need to keep editing the artist article every single time a new dragon, which got sprited by them, is released.

Plus we have another three new categories:

  • "Dragon Spriter" for all spriters who created the various dragon sprites which can be found on Dragon Cave.
  • "Event Spriter" for all the artists who created those beautiful imgaes for the events wich all of us enjoy.
  • "Event Writer" for all the creative writers who wrote all those great texts for various events.
