Yellow Dinos, or Diplodocus carnegii, are an original species on the site, having been released on June 19, 2007, alongside Storm Dragons and Red Dinos.

Dinos are "non-dragon" creatures which do not have genders, and therefore cannot be bred. They also cannot be revived if killed. They come in 5 colors: Green, Red, Blue, Yellow and Purple.

Adult Dinos were originally all male. Female Dinos appeared for a period before all Dinos stopped displaying any gender. Even when Dinos were gendered, they were not able to breed. The current sprites are inspired by Yoshi, which was used as the Dinos' original sprites before the Replacement Project. This has resulted in the Dinos featuring a more cartoonish style than regular dragons.

Official Creature Descriptions[]

Egg[]

This egg looks like it doesn't belong; it is brightly colored with white spots. It's much heavier than the other eggs.

Hatchling[]

You were right, it's not the same species as the other eggs. So if it's not a dragon, what is it?

Mature hatchling[]

You were right, it's not the same species as the other eggs. So if it's not a dragon, what is it?
And look, it's gotten bigger! Maybe it will reach its full size soon.

Adult[]

Finally, after much feeding, your baby has grown into a full Dino! Dinos can eat almost anything, including things with spikes. In order to do so, they must have very tough stomachs. Yellow Dinos have very long necks, which they use to reach and eat food located high off the ground.

Trivia[]

  • The original sprites for Dinos didn't have a differing sprite for hatchling and mature hatchlings, much like the Chicken still has today.
  • Under the legacy breed sort, these creatures sorted as "Yoshi Yellow" on a user's scroll. As of August 14, 2016, they now sort using their Encyclopedia name.
